the last of its kind, the galactica underwent a refit at the scorpion shipyards which removed its light speed engines for the hyperdrive, upgraded fighter suppression Point defenses, it also underwent a navigational computer change called the Dradis to aid in its multiple calculations for hyperdrive travel. with the introduction of the Dradis and hyperdrive changes the ship was able to perform Battle Jumps allowing its computer to send navigational data to other ships within the fleet for simultaneous and co-ordinated jumps during battle. while highly efficient the communications is not always clear when transmitting the data for the jump and has often resulted in ships becoming lost during Battle Jumps. soon afterward the design was scrapped and replaced by the mercury class battlestar and thus this vessel can never be built again as its plans were destroyed in the War that causes them to flee(hence tech 11). this vessel is one of two ships in the CoK fleet immune to the CoT Hacker Device
