[edit] Installation

Instructions:

  • Download the VidiVici zip file and extract it anywhere on your computer.
  • Within Planets4, export a CSV file of your game. Go to the Options menu and press the "Make CSV button".
  • Start up VidiVici! It should automatically load the CSV file. You'll need to make a new CSV file every time you unpack an RST in order to use VidiVici with the current game data.

Windows 98: Windows 98 users may get an error message when starting the program, "Startup failed: Feature requires Windows NT." Try downloading this patch and unzipping it to your VidiVici program directory.

[edit] Change History

[edit] Version 2.2.1 (Flynx)

2007-12-12

  • Change in the CSV files prevented VidiVici to read the 'traning center' header correctly. Unknown which host version brought this change, I noticed it with 212.

[edit] Version 2.2b

2007-02-10

  • Fixed CSV parsing error which caused incompatibility with new VGA Planets client version (062).

[edit] Version 2.2

2005-09-12

  • Fixed a crash (introduced in v2.1) when viewing an object with an ID >= 1000.

[edit] Version 2.1

2005-09-10

  • Better startup error handling. Errors should produce meaningful messages that will help diagnose problems.
  • Added Races button to the tool bar. Races must be set manually for certain features.
  • Added status bar to the bottom of the main interface. The status bar indicates the current game, turn number, and most recently performed file action.
  • All objects now have a "Notes" tab in the viewer. You can keep notes for each object, such as what weapons are loaded on a particular ship.
  • Added some new default flags: Good Farming, Good Minerals, Food Shortage, Food Surplus. NOTE: You MUST set the races for your game in order for the Good Farming flag to work! Added options to hide planet names and the grid. Located on the menu under View > Other Options
  • Added several more buttons to the tool bar. Previous/next turn, flags, filters, resource circles, races, colors.
