This page will try to promote Vgap 4 movies. What software to use, and where to get them, and list already posted movies for example and your viewing pleasure.

KoolMoves to create flash scenes. WinAVI VideoConverter to convert SWF to WMV. InterVideo WinDVD Creator to join the scenes and mount the final WMV, Moviemaker makes the same job, though.

Free space to upload your movie:

  • Vimeo Free site. You have a weekly Upload limit of 250 megs. Very fast and easy to use. By Far the best choice if your movie is under 250 mb. Following formats are allowed: 3g2, 3gp, 3ivx, 3vx, asf, asx, avi, divx, dvx, flv, m4v, mov, mp4, mpeg, mpg, qt, wmv.
  • zippyvideos up to 20MB file, unlimited total space, unlimited traffic but the movie is only viewed in a small window and you can't dowload the video directly or save it to your local hard disk.
    They accept avi, mpg, wmv, asf, 3gp, mov, rm or swf formats.

Work around: You actually do download the file. On a Win XP System it should reside in a folder like C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\videofilename
You will see the file was downloaded, click on the video file,and right click, copy, paste the file to another directory on your hard disk, rename it something, you can now watch this file in a full window.(If you doubleclick on the file, it is downloaded again, but when dragging it, it simply gets copied)

Tested on Win XP with Mozilla Firefox 1.07 and Internet Explorer 6 (sp2).

  • Google Video Free, no size limit, but may take 1-2 days before your video is online, after an upload.

"Before uploading your video to Google, we prefer that you encode your video files using mpeg-2 or mpeg-4 codecs with mp3 audio"
My test was with a .wmv, it should be online a lot faster with an .avi with their preference.
I recomend this site if your video is more than 20 mb, if less zippyvideos is better. Here an example I made and uploaded: The Shadow War 80 MB Mpeg-2

The limitation is maximum 2MB for a single file. Most video file will be bigger than that.

  • Pando FREE Up to 1GB Files published to the web are hosted on Pando's servers for 14 days from the last time they were downloaded. You can also send up to 1GB E-mail attachement.

For some reason direct link to youtube does not always work, but if you go directly to http://www.youtube.com, and search with the name of the above movie you will find them fast.
