Turbo Laser Array

The second biggest Large Weapon and 'little brother' of the Large Turbo Laser Array. Costing roughly half the price of the Large Turbo Laser Array, it fires only half as fast (still much faster than almost all other weapons) and its other stats are lower, too.
Although Large Turbo Laser Arrays should be preferred, there are some reason for using a TLA:

• You cannot mount a LTLA.
• You already have the TLA in stock (e.g. built by Amphibians)
• You cannot provide the energy that would be needed to let the LTLA fire continously.

• Although its mass regarding the mounting slots is 800kt, you only have to spend 300kt of metals to build the Turbo Laser Array.
• All large weapon mounts on ships have mass dampers that will reduce the mass of any weapon to max. 200kt for fuel comsuption purposes (this has no effect on the restriction mentioned above however).

[edit] Races Without

Some races do not even have a single hull which is able to mount a weapon like this. Races without an 800kt Large Weapon slot are:

• The Aczanny Pyramids
• The Centaurs
• The Cyborg Collective
• The Holy Draconian Empire
• The Stormer Kingdom
• The United Enforcement Authority
• The University Alliance
