The most intense ship change wish I have is Organic armor for the Organic ship. That would suffice to really distinguish it from the Oberth. I don't need any of the other changes. With regard to redundancy in the ship list only the Mizar strikes me as really redundant as it is now.

This is a list of proposed changes for the next Draconian shippack update. The Draconian need a better ship list to compete with the other races.
They need a bit more distinction (ie variety) between many of their ships to attract players, as "Boring may be a greater sin than Underpowered".
See the discussion page, to look at ideas, or to give your's.

  • They need a ship with a big cargo, they have no freighter, they can not beam up the stuff laying on planets surface.
  • They need ways to improve their late game economic like DTMS-N_Fuel_Converter & Alchemy
  • Most of their tech 6 ships and + have big design flaw, or are missing devices to make them worth building.

2 Cerberus Class Frigate No Change needed, very good tech 2 ship.
3 DR-14 Security Vessel No Change needed
3 Dreysen Class Cruiser Raise Standard (Max) Cargo from 330 to 3300. This become the main Cargo ship.
4 Eridanus Class Frigate No Change needed, good tech 4 ship.
4 Scimitar Class Destroyer No Change needed, ok tech 4 ship, for small weapons lovers.
5 Balka Class Vanguard No Change needed, very good tech 5 ship.
5 Mizar Class Cruiser No Change needed
5 Krait Class Dread Star Crew From 3000 to 6000 (to avoid easy capture in VCR)
5 Draco Class Star Base Add Alchemy, DTMS-N_Fuel_Converter (if not added on tech 10 ship)
6 AD-22 Marauder Raise guest from 200 to 2000, crew from 328 to 500 (this is a boarding ship)
6 Hydra Class Light Carrier Raise fighters bays from 5 to 10. Raise PD from 2 to 8.
6 Oberth Class Assaultship No Change needed
7 Fang Class Destroyer 120 to 150 warp speed, Engines 3 to 2, Reduce tractor beam from 250 to 150.
7 Polaris Class Fighter Builder Raise fighters bays from 3 to 20, to have room to build fighters.
7 Rostov Class AA Gunship No Change needed
8 Pegasi Class Cruiser Large weapons 6 to 15, Reduce Large mount size 150 to 60, Add 30 attack bonus. Increase ord from 3500 to 13 500 to become the main minelayer of the fleet. Increase Powerbank from 0 to 1300.
8 Westfalen Class Dreadnought Large mount size 200 to 2000, wich makes it a viable choice over the Titus class. Increase the ship hull mass to 900 tons, Engines 2 to 4.
8 Titus Class Dreadnought Raise attack bonus from 0 to 25 (correct Large mount size typo 200 to 150)
9 Kalinin Class Carrier Raise fighters bays from 10 to 20.
10 Artemis Class Star Gate Builder Add Security Device, Alchemy, DTMS-N_Fuel_Converter ( No change are needed if the devices are added on the Draco ) .

Change one of the Balka for a Dreysen (for more cargo room to be able to build GC on planet nearby, mine laying / sweeping and beaming up planets surface goodies).

  • Many change idea came from various peoples in the alt.games.vgaplanets4.
  • Pegasi Class Cruiser is your size 60, [15] PTT / 500 / AMG / BC and main minelayer
  • Westfalen Class Dreadnought is your heavy hitter with up to 8 LTLA
  • Titus Class Dreadnought is your ship with up to 10 size 150
  • The Fang is you fast moving medium warship, able to tow small to medium ships.
