I still have questions.
#1 When 2 players (one being Robot) turn attack off on each other, does
the nest still grab and kill colonist ?
#2
What are the Range for insectoid nest with 1 000 000 colonist and 100k
insectoid (at turn 1)?
What are the Range for insectoid nest with 2 000 000 colonist and 100k
insectoid (at turn 1)?
It seem those are the 2 most popular starting settings.
#3
I'm not too good at understanding posted math formula, does every turn
grant a +5ly range ?
Thanks in advance

Hi Lancelot
Your Nest always grabs colonists in range and turns them into Insectoids. This is not at all affected by your political attitude towards any players in nest range.
The limiting parameter for nest range is almost always the turn number during the early phase of the game. This will be the case until around turn 40. From turn 60 onwards, nest range depends on colonists and insectoids only, with a maximum of 400 LY.
Just as additional information: 1Mio+100K = 209LY ; 2Mio+100K = 289 LY
So as long as you have enough colonists and insectoids, every turn till turn 60 grants a +5LY range is guaranteed, at turn 1 you always should have 105LY range, turn 2 110LY and so on.
Right: It really means that nests become a nice weapon sooner or later, if you manage to add some GunZeros nearby.
