Talk:Hyperspace Tow
From PlanetsWiki
That seem a bit low only 165 kt, any reason for that ?
you can tow 1 wing (of any size)? more than one wing ?
Is it a ship or a wing ? both at same time ?
Can you tow more than one ship ? if you can tow as many ship as you wish, than the 165kt is great and should not be increased.
If you can only tow one ship. than I would increase it to be able to tow a bit bigger.
about limiting hyoerspace tow, to Mivorari hull only ? (can not tow other race hull)

The Hyperspace Tow can tow more then 1 ship at the same time. This depence on the hull mass of the tower. Only 3 ships can tow in hyperspace. The Monitor, the Battlecruiser and the Dreadnought.

After reviewing all the mass of the ship list I understand, all warp ship are 165kt or less. All over have long range HYP, and do not need hyperspace tow. So no need to increase the capacity.
I would love the Hyperspace tow, to work only when owned by Mivorari, and only towing mivorari hull.
I would also like the special power of going throught grav mines & grav well, to only work when mivorari own the ship.
Hmm never mind Hyper space tow & Gravity Well Defuser, already only work for mivorari GREAT!
But make sure H tow can only tow Mivorari hull.

The Monitor can tow 2 ships at one time,
The Battlecruiser can tow 3 ships at one time and
The Dreadnought can tow 9 ships at one time.
The ships can tow every design, also alien, but I can limit this by one.
Towing fighter wings will be unlimited right now.
Every Mivorari ship device need at least one Mivorari crew to work. So no other can use then. Neither any ally of the Mivorari player. --Mivorari 20:39, 5 January 2007 (CET)
How about ally fighters wings ?
Lord Lancelot 21:37, 5 January 2007 (CET)
The limit of wings is 165 fighters in one wing. How smaller the wings are the more there can be towed by one ship. Ally wings can be limited by this rule too. The same with the ships right now. The limit is the hullmass of the tower and not the design of the alien ship. Thats means right now that a Monitor can tow 2 alien ships with a max of 165 kt.
For the wings we need a table. I will made one, but only for Mivorari fighter wings.

If the tow is disturb by Grav Mines, do the Tower ship fly alone or notice it and stop?
If Grav Mines can disturb the tow, what is with Nova Mines and Gravity Well Generator?
What's with the Gravity Well Defuser on the Mivorari Dynamite Battlecruiser, if it is ON and the ship tow other ships/wings, is the tow then broken if they reach a Grav Mienfield or do the tow stand cause the Defuser disable the effect of the Grav Mines?
JoSch.
If the towing ship has a Gravity Well Defuser on board and it's activated the towing ship will fly though the grav minefield. If the towing ship has no Gravity Well Defuser on board or isn't activated the towing ship will stop too.
Every minefield that act as an grav minefield will disturb the Hyperspace Tow.
But thats a good one. The Gravity Well Generator will also disturb the Hyperspace Tow.

[edit] Hard to understand
"The towing ship and fighter wing must set the waypoint to escort."
This should be written otherwise. Lord Lancelot 07:30, 17 December 2007 (CET)
How?
It works opposite as the normal tow.
It works exactly as Escort the fleet leader.
--Mivorari 18:59, 17 December 2007 (CET)
Well I not sure I understand what I have to do.
The ship and fighter wing that wish to be towed must escort the ship with the Hyperspace Tow device.
That would be clear to me. Lord Lancelot 19:49, 17 December 2007 (CET)
I think (to) know what you mean, but my grammar is not so good as yours.
--Mivorari 20:09, 17 December 2007 (CET)
Ok I will update the article page then. I able to understand what you mean at least 9 of 10 times so no trouble there. :) Lord Lancelot 00:41, 18 December 2007 (CET)
That's very kind of you :) --Mivorari 00:49, 18 December 2007 (CET)
