New Host Still favor Small Wings I ran two quick tests to see this was any meaningful change - The new host ISN"T, I ran an actual turn to make sure the host message indicated 198 which it does an then ran diplomat.
FIRST TEST: Fighter on Fighter (Com vs Com) 6/2/2 as host small optima
I tried using similar numbers against 100 small wings. The small wings won hands down against 50, 200, 1000 fighter wings
SECOND TEST: Fighter on ship (one Tranquility outfitted with 20 Sand Casters & Turbo Lasers)
30 small wings (300 total fighters) kill the Tranquility, 3 large wings (100 fighter Wings) die. For that matter 1000 fighters in one wing is an even fight. An really scaled up - Large wings need more than twice the fighters to compete with small wings. 600 fighters in one wing vs a tranquility one on one or ten on ten loses to the ship but 300 fighters in 10 fighter wings remain supreme.
This is a miss. No large wings are worth building unless you are resource point challenged. Generation is the key. Until Tim eliminates the constant term in power generation, small wings remain supreme. Simply put large wings are just targets, they don;t fire much. Taking out the constant term creates its own problem, no one will build any wings as the small wings will become just as useless as the large ones.
