Talk:Hades Class Frigate

Hades are made for using PTT. They have a high attack bonus that will help overwhelming enemies PD. I see hardly sense in using the Hades with a similar layout as the Inamorata. Thus I would use PTT or SC as main weapons, MSC or TL as point defence and a small weapons of your choice. But really I do prefer using Inamoratas over any other Scav ship:)--Sebastian 21:59, 23 August 2007 (CEST)

Sebastian, you are right. I changed the config. --Yid 07:53, 24 August 2007 (CEST)

Another point: maybe we should point out that the Inamorata is superior to the Hades in almost every way:

  • The Inamorata needs less engines, costs a bit less, has more small weapon slots, has bigger large weapon slots, has similar bonusses and is able to cloak.
  • The advantages of the Hades are 2 pod bays and the ability to use PTT (if you can get your hands on them).
  • compared to the Phoenix the Hades is much slower, so the pod bays may not be a point, though...

Phoenix has only the speed advantage over the hades. Also the Phoenix has no ord capacity. The Phoenix is definitely not made for fighting. You have also to consider that the Scavs get the low techs pretty fast. You stated that a Hades with Disrupter is low tech and a HAdes with PTT is high tech. I would simply cut the Disrupter Hades as a Hades with disrupters is worse than a Ina. I also would drip the Sc on the Hades. Scavs should use almost every time swarms and the PD should take care of enemies fighters. On a low tech hades I would use Merculite Rockets as LW but only if I have to fight Crystals. Almost everytime else I would use the Ina that has only one hull tech higher than the Hades. If I really have to build ships now then I would use Disrupter mostly regardless of ship type (this has also something to do with the better spreads mineral needs of the Disrupter). In early game you can also use wings of T1 as they even go a bit faster than the tylium truster.--Sebastian 20:06, 24 August 2007 (CEST)
