Ship Devices are not parts a ship is outfitted with like Engines or Shield Generators, but rather 'bundled' with certain hulls and therefore do not cost any extra money or metals.

You can turn on any number of devices at the same time and most devices do not interfere with the working of other devices.

Most ship devices have their effects after movement. Some, such as the Dust Off and Hacker Droid take effect before and after movement. And yet others, such as the Boarding Laser take effect during movement. For those that occur after movement, their order is randomized. All planets, bases, wings, and ships have their object ID randomized and then ships (only) have a score applied to them. That score is calculated by the formula: (happiness / 2) + skill + experience + (high guard * 10). The ship with the highest score will be processed first. The rest will process randomly after ships.
