[edit] Primary Purpose

The solorian main battle vessel. The pulsar's attacking bonus of 100% will make very deadly any weapon placed on it. Popular variations based in Pulsed Phasor Cannon and Photon Torpedo Tube. The ship's shield resistance to enemy Photon Torpedoes and fragility against energy-based weapons should be taken into account when deploying this unit.

  • There is the contested idea that as of Host 199 this ship is more cost-efficient if well equiped and used without any fighter garrison.(contested)
  • Prior to host 199 this ship was mainly used,lightly armed, as support to the 6 wings that it carries.

[edit] Secondary Purpose

  • The 3 pod bays mean this ship can be used as a freighter though the Solar Wind Class Freighter can be built by 1/4 of the price taking hyperdrive and warp engine price into account.
  • Inexperient players may want to use one of these ships equiped only with hyper and warp engines as a fast-action tower to help fuel stranded ships. Again the Prominence Class Cruiser can act as a slow-action tower for 1/4 of the price.

  • NOTE: The Warhop 2020 is your HyperDrive of choice. It should be available before the Pulsar hull is available. A starheat of 7 will replace the fuel needed for a single jump. A starheat of 28 will fill the tank.
