[edit] Overview
You can copy an installed version to a USB key, but you will miss some files (DLL, OCX) for planets4 to work properly, once those missing files are on your USB key it will work.
[edit] How to
[edit] Option 1
Just download planets4dll&ocxfiles.zip (7.184 KB, from Arlyos)
Put all files in both main planets4 and planets4/vpsys directories.
Get "regsvr32" just in case you need to activate a couple of the ocx/dll files. e.g. activating sound.
Iif you need to activate the sound just drag and drop the ocx/dll files onto the regsvr32 file.
[edit] Option 2
Just download planets4runtime.zip 1.132KB (From chainsword) <== Broken link and unzip it to your VGAP directory in your memory stick
[edit] Tips
You can improve the game performance by copying the content of the USB key to a temp directory on your C: drive of the computer your using (like C:\Temp), you can delete the files when your done.
I would recommend copying the entire planets directory back to your USB after the first play and every time after that just the war and plans directories back from C: drive to your planets flash drive directory to always keep your data current. <arylos>
