• For many races, this is their first hull design that has a pod bay, making it useful for early freighter duty. As an added bonus, it's actually cheaper than the SDSF.
• The guest quarters can hold 3,000 colonists, so it may also see some colonizing duty.
• It has enough of a tow beam to tow another Medium Deep Space Freighter, so you can send them out as 'double packs' and double your capacity as well as the number of beam transfers you can make, all for the cost of just one (decent) engine.
