Medical supplies are necessary for the well being and care of your colonists. Some scientists have also discovered how to make organic material that will act and grow into armor plating to be put on ships. Others have founds ways to develop an artificial intelligence to pilot a starship using an organic brain. These things require the use of medical units. A Med Lab can produce these for you.

• Produces Med Units, using food and megacredits.
• 1 food + 1 megacredit will become 1 med unit.
• The amount of med units produced can be selected from 0 to 10,000.

[edit] Other ways to produce med units

• They can sometimes be found on a planet's surface.
• The Reunited Coalition of Systems' Arerran Capital will cause farms to produce med units as well as food and megacredits.
• The Scavenger Tribes' Scav Crawler will gather med units from Ghipsoldals.
• The Mobile Med Lab ship device will convert all food on the ship into 3 med units.
• The Reticulian Med Lab will convert natives into med units.
• The Cargo Grappler ship device will steal med units from an enemy ship.
• The Solar Gamma Ray ship device will destroy all med units at a base that it is over.
