• The Loki Class Destroyer can be built by both The Solar Federation and The Lizard Kingdom.

• The Loki is a versatile ship. In addition to mounting the useful Tachyon Emitter (for detecting cloaked ships), it also makes an excellent minesweeper or minelayer; especially on account of its pod bay which can hold extra ordnance. Lokis are commonly built in large swarms with cheap small weapons. A large number of cheap ships will take maximum advantage from any weapon or shield exotics you've purchased. The Loki is also one of the best anti-fighter ships: they're cheap enough to be built in large numbers, and they can mount lots of point defense systems.

• In a Lizard fleet, the Loki can play a similar role to the Vendetta Class Frigate in combat; its heavy shields may grant it an advantage against the armaments that opponents are likely to bring into a battle with the Lizards.

• Some Birdmen ships are immune to being detected by the Tachyon Emitter, but a Federation-owned Loki can detect even those ships.
