Also known as the workhorse of the Lizard fleet, the Lizard Class Cruiser is best used to acquire prisoners. It's not the best combat ship you have; its expensive in terms of metals and the number of engines it requires, it guzzles gas, and it lacks any pod bays to keep itself supplied behind enemy lines. But, it is the only Lizard ship which can completely cloak. It can help you acquire prisoners (which are critical to your economy) by silently landing troops on poorly defended enemy bases.

The Lizard Class Cruiser is also the only minelayer/minesweeper for a Lizard until the Loki Class Destroyer at Hull Tech 8.
