  • The I-17 Impulse is the cheapest model of the I-Series Impulse engines with a top speed of 40ly.
  • The top model of the I-Series Impulse engines, the I-25 Impulse at Engine Tech 8 beats this engines in all aspects.
  • Regarding fuel burn it is slightly worse than the Lasno Ion Drives at speeds of 11-20. Otherwise better than anything of lower tech and has a slightly better fuel-efficiency then the I-20 Impulse at speed 11.
