- Each type of Natives in a base has its own happiness level. (The higher, the better).

[edit] How to Increase Happiness
- A Public Space Port increases Native happiness by 5. Having more than one spaceport will make no difference.
- Normally Ultra consevative is the best taxes setting to improve the natives happiness.
- When no food is left at a base with Chupanoids in it then they will get happy as they watch your colonists starve.
- Successfully ground assaulting a Privateer base will cause natives to celebrate and get happy.
- The Psi-Opps Hisser Unit ship device will force natives into a happy state.
- The Eye of Madagon ship device will cause Chupanoids within 10 ly to enter a state of bliss at 300 happiness.
- Natives enjoy gambling at a Racetrack and will find 4 points of happiness there for each racetrack. exact number might be different
[edit] How to decrease Happiness
- The Mind Crusher ship device decreases happiness by 40.
- The Ground Quake Trigger ship device decreases happiness by 40.
- The Solar Gamma Ray ship device decreases happiness by 30 as they get fried.
- If a base takes damage in a space combat, the happiness of the natives in that bases is reduced by:
HappinessDrop = Damage / 1,000 * Rnd (with a maximum of 100).

- Happiness has a range of -300 to +300.

- Natives in Bases of The Solorian Unity have a max happiness of 100.
- Government Centers of The Holy Draconian Empire increase native happiness by 5 due to intimidation.
- Nearby (200 ly) bases of The Rebels decrease the native happiness. Their own natives will increase in happiness.
- When bases merge, the happiness of natives is added together from both bases. Request put in to adjust using ratio of happiness to population of each. (Magik-Host199)
- Chupanoids launched in a native pod are able to escape, which causes a Chupanoid happiness drop of 10.
- A Tech Institute will increase Ghipsoldal and Humanoid native happiness.
- The Scavenger Tribes relate well to natives and increase their happiness by 1.
- The Holy Draconian Empire decreases native happiness by 3.
- Natives fear and hate the Draconians, which causes their happiness to drop by 3.
- If a ground base is the target of a Incite Disorder Spy Attack then native happiness will have a chance to change.
- Natives in the ground base of Aczanny cannot stand them and get unhappy by 5. This excludes Avians.
- Nearby (200 ly) Privateer bases will cause natives to become unhappy by 10 points. This excludes Ghipsoldal, who get happier by 10.
- When natives are fed to the Insectoid Nest, the Insectoids at the base become elated. Happiness increases by 0 to 50.
- When the IMT Sloane 24x24 Ranger is spreading Solient Green, the natives become unhappy by 50.
- As Chupanoids mutiny from the IMT, they get enjoy their freedom. They gain 3 points of happiness.
