Ship happiness is the rating of how happy your crew is. You should keep your crew happy to gain some benefits and help protect it.

[edit] Effects

  • Ship crew are more resistant to Spy Attacks.
  • Increases the chance of going acting before another ship for purposes of ship devices and other actions.
  • A happy crew will stay longer in combat.

[edit] How to raise ship happiness

  • The Holodeck ship device increases ship happiness by 10 points
  • Happiness of a ship will raise by 10 when spending a turn over one of your bases with over 100,000 colonists in it.
  • Happiness of a ship will raise by 5 when spending a turn over an ally's bases with over 100,000 colonists in it.
  • Being over a planet will increase crew happiness by 3 since they now have something to do.
  • A Show Lounge will increase crew happiness by 3.
  • A Pyramid Lounge will increase crew happiness by 5.
  • A transfer to a base from a ship will increase happiness by 10.

[edit] How to lower (your enemy's) ship happiness

  • A crew's happiness decreases by 1 every turn.

  • When you launch a new ship from a ground base ship build (not Quick Build) then the starting happiness will match that of the ground base. Requested this to be matched in Quick Build. (Magik-Host199)
  • When you launch a new ship from a dry dock ship build (not Quick Build) then the starting happiness will match that of the dry dock.
  • Crew happiness on Cyborg ships is always 100.
