Gun Zero is a ground base structure which uses ord to damage or destroy enemy ships at a range of 250 lightyears. A single Gun Zero will fire at ALL ships in its range, with the following exceptions:
- Gun Zero will not fire on ships with a hull mass of less than 100 kt
- Gun Zero will not fire on ships which have not been scanned
- Gun Zero will not fire on ships that are fully cloaked
- Gun Zero WILL fire on ships with cloaking devices if the ship has a sensor profile larger than 400 or gets tagged by a detonating laser minefield.
- Alien hulls (with a sensor profile penalty) that are cloaked will be fired on if they are scanned. (Needs further testing for lower warp signature ships)
- When built, the Gun Zero is set to ON, so it can fire on the same turn that it is built.
- Gun Zero will not fire at ships owned by players who you and the target player both have Attack! setting turned off.
Not every shot fired by Gun Zero will hit its target. The probability of Gun Zero hitting its target is based on the hull mass of the target. A successful hit results in damage which is dependent on the target's hull mass:

- Requires 100 ord per shot
- Requires at least 10 Robot colonists in the base
- Rebel Command Codes R## does not stop the Gun Zero to fire on Rebel ships.
- When looking at your turn in VidiVici, click on Flag, than Ressource Circles, than Race Structure 2, this will highlight the Gun Zero location.
