[edit] Overview

The Gemini is a cheaper alternative to the Sagittarius Class. If you live in space, maybe stick to the Sagittarius. But if you live on planets, you need to transport ships for moving colonists (since due to the Celestia you aim at lots of 1M bases). Lifepods are bad, because on board of your CoM ships your colonists grow and bring in double city income during transport. So you have to use the Sagittarius (which is too expensive for simple short range transport), the Cobol (indeed, I use it, too) or the Gemini. The Gemini is comparable cheap, and has pod bays for bringing along food and supplies. The Cobol needs less fuel, can mine for even more, and can defend itself, but is a bit more expensive fully armed. I use both designs for colonist transport.
