[edit] Overview
The Gambling Deck earns MC from colonists in the ship and on bases below (all bases). The Gambling Deck is not player-specific, so that the effects will be reduced if there is a Gambling Deck device on a ship of a different player within the same area.
[edit] Details
- The Gambling Deck generates 1 mc for every colonist on the ship, with a maximum gain each turn of 1,000 mc.
- The Gambling Deck generates 300 mc for every 1 million colonists in bases below the ship (you don’t have to own the base and they can be enemy bases).
- To function at maximum capacity the ship must be over a base with a minimum of 1 million colonists. If it is over a base with fewer colonists it will generate a maximum of 50 mc per turn.
- No more than one Gambling Deck device should be active within 15 ly of one another. If more than one such device is active the maximum revenue generated per turn is 500 mc (for all ships with said devices) and the 500 mc is divided evenly between each ship.
- Maximum Income Per Turn: 15,000 mc (with 1,000 colonists onboard and 50 million in bases below ship).
- The "over a base" functions will only work if the ship is at 5 ly or less away from a base.
- Gambling Devices will raise the crime level on all bases within 15 ly by two points.
[edit] Ships with this Device
[edit] Research
-
Currently, it only affects 1 base, which is probably the base with the lowest object ID. Bug.Fixed (Host 203)
-
Currently, each player can have a ship producing full mc without affecting each other. Bug.Fixed (Host 203)
- The combined effect of several Gambling and Show Lounge devices is perhaps very strong - ten ships seemed (at least in one case) to generate ten times of the expected crime (Host 210).
