- The Ahir was once an excellent Fighter which did boost the attack strength of your mixed fighter wings tremendously (and you only need one of them in such a wing), but this is no longer the case, now it is mostly just an overpriced fighter. - It was your main weapon against enemy ships (especially in mixed wings).
- It is still good in taking out ships, but due to the advantages ships now have above fighters, it is a very expensive choice, but even then throw in some cheap fighters into any such wing to soak up some of the damage the ships will deal to your wings.
- Still a good option is to launch your 80 starting Ahir fighters in wings of 10 to give you some additional protection against your neighbours. And do not put your starting Ahirs in mixed wings as that would reduce the travel range of the wing.
