  • In some ways Robot players need to think like Crystals. The Cat's Paw is your tool to implement those plans.
  • The Robot fleet, although very powerful in combat, has several weaknesses. They are very vulnerable to boarding, cloaked attacks. Minefields are how the Robots defend against boarding actions. They prevent fast, cloaking ships from having the initiative in combat. They also defend a Robot attacking fleet and the entire empire against Hyperjump Races.
  • The Cat's Paw is probably the most important ship in the Robotic Fleet; it is their only minelayer.
  • In the hands of the Robots, it will drop Nova Barbitic Minefields. It will only drop Barbitic Minefields for any other race.
