There are a variety of Buildings in your Ground Bases.

[edit] Construction

Buildings that are queued to be built have an opportunity to be built during 2 phases during the host order of events: once before movement and once after. If you have the money and supplies to build all of the queued structures at the beginning of the turn, then they will all be built. If all of the queued buildings could not be built and you have a ship (not pod) increase the number of megacredits and/or supplies at the base then it may be able to construct more buildings after movement.

[edit] Effects

Buildings normally produce their effects in the "Base Jobs" portion of the host order of events. The building has to be powered on. Not all buildings can be turned on/off. The Base Jobs phase is after movement. It is also after the final building contruction phase. This means that you will not be able to produce supplies from your factories to be able to construct a new building during the same turn. However, if you were able to build a new building, it will produce its effect during the same turn (if it is turned on). Example: If you build a farm then you will produce the 1 food and 1 megacredit from its effect during the same turn.
