Jump Computer: Colonies of Kobol Battlestars have Jump Computers that allow them to coordinate Battle Jumps with thier fleets. When Switched on and an enemy Attacks the colonial fleet, Battlestars start to defend the fleet in the VCR and, at VCR tick 100, All non Battlestars will HYP to the initating battlestars Waypoint location at the hyper range of the battlestar regardless of thier own hyper ranges. Then at VCR tick 130 Battlestars start to Land their Fighter wings and at VCR tick 150, when all of them Have Landed,the battlestar itself will jump.
- Battlestars will automatically use Artillery Support ship Device during a Battle Jump to help protect the fleet during the jump.
[edit] Requirements for Successful Battle Jumps
- Battlestar must have a waypoint set 10 lyrs or further.
- ships wishing to jump must have hyperdrives.
- ships wishing to jump must be escorting the initiating battlestar
- the battlestar must have Battle Jump Ship Device ON and 1000 neutronium required for the Jump on board.
- battle jumps can only occur in VCR's between movement ticks 50 and 199
- only 1 battle jump can occur per fleet, per turn.
- ships without hyperdrives will remain in the VCR after the jump.
- wings docked with escorting ships will not launch in a battle Jump VCR, with the exception of the wings docked to the battlestar, which will return to the ship moments before the jump.
- disabled ships will not Battle Jump.
- there must be no gravitronic minefields or hyperspace effective devices that would normally prevent hyper space travel.
- 5% chance that escorting ships will be lost during Battle Jump (see Below).

- all ship warpspeeds are reduced to zero.
- all ship waypoints are cleared
- escort targets remain locked.
- all hyperdrive switches are set to off.

theres a 5% chance that an escorting ship wont properly get the jump computer data from the battlestar and will be considered lost during the jump. essentially the ship will still jump the range of the battlestars hyperdrive but in a different direction and will not arrive with the rest of the fleet but endup somewhere else on the map.
