This is the best medium ship of the Draconian fleet. Its Bioscanner is its most important early use to detect native worlds or enemy HW. It has a good behaviour in combat against other medium ships and therefore forms the backbone of early combat fleets, to be replaced in later stages by Fangs.

Besides, if you tow a Cerberus Class frigate you can leave a track of mines behind you.

  • Has double the chance to find an enemy base with ship sensors (like all Privateer ships do). Hull trait. (Host 213t).
  • Balka Class Vanguard's Bioscanner works as described as the hull trait of the N. Willow Class Survey Ship: it detects natives within 100 ly 100% of the time. Additionally, it will interfere with Holojammer within 100 ly instead of 700 ly (Host 213t).
