[edit] Auto-Intercept
there are 3 controls for establishing Auto-Intercept. Intercept pods/wings, intercept range and intercept ships, both forms of auto-intercept require a range to be extablished, once that range perimeter is breeched, the ship performing this mission will set an intercept to that target, and continue that intercept until it is destroyed, or can no longer be tracked by the current Scanner settings.
[edit] Auto-Intercept Pods/Wings
- choosing this setting will intercept Pods or Wings only if the Perimeter (intercept range) is breached. All other Space Objects will be ignored by the Auto-Intercept mission.
[edit] Intercept Range
- This sets the ships perimeter for the auto-intercept mission, if Space Objects Move within the established perimeter, the Auto-intercept will check that against your mission and if the appropriately selected Space Object meets that of your mission it will be intercepted. it will not end the mission until the Target of your intercept is destroyed, or can no longer be tracked by the current Scanner settings.
[edit] Auto-Intercept Ships
- choosing this setting will intercept Ships only if the Perimeter (intercept range) is breached. All other Space Objects will be ignored by the Auto-Intercept mission.
[edit] notes:
- currently there are some bugs with auto-intercept as of host 199
- intercepts will only occur if you can see the target, cloaked and low sensor profile targets can elude auto-intercept
- Auto-intercept can be overriden by Nav Mode Intercept.
- Auto-Intercept can be lowered in priority by Command Codes WPF and WPP
[edit] Research
- How come the fighters dont have a select for ships / wings pods. are they all combined. or something missing
