Using the Ally Commands screen there are six switches you can set individually for each race.
This allows you to give information to your allies and prevent your ships from attacking each other.

Ally Commands can be reached by clicking on the humanoid icon in the task bar.

[edit] Switches

By default all switches but Attack! are switched OFF:

[edit] Send Contact Data

If switched ON, the target race will see all ships/bases/wings etc. of other races, that you see.

  • If you are playing the Evil Empire, the target race will not see the weapon of enemy ships, that you are able to see.

If switched ON, the target race will see all your ships.

[edit] Send Base Data

If switched ON, the target race will see all your bases.

[edit] Allow Commands

If switched ON, the target race will be able to give commands to all bases, ships, wings, pods and minefields that you own. However there are some restrictions:

  • The target race cannot cannot build ships for you.
  • The target race cannot cannot launch Life Pods for you.
  • The target race cannot change anything in your HQ (including taxes, tech levels and exotic techs)
  • If the owner of a unit gives orders to it, all orders for that unit given by other players are discarded.

If switched ON, the target race can see your map drawings. Note: This feature is broken.

[edit] Attack!

  • If the HConfig option Ally Limits is enabled, you can switch only put as many players to attack OFF, as the ally limit that is set.
  • If you have this switched OFF for a player, the units of that player will not hit your minefields.
  • If two players have this mutually switched OFF, their units won't attack each other.

Sending data to a player & having attack OFF This could be for a NPC slot (the host or a Ref watching the game, like in the P4League games) or for a ally you trust in a team game.
